About Us

Dr Abhishek Paul completed his under graduation from the prestigious Kasturba Medical College (Manipal University) and then DNB in Ophthalmology from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.

With the zeal to teach undergraduate MBBS students, he did senior residency from Government medical college, Bhavnagar, where he was able not only to impart knowledge to undergraduates, but also kindle their interests in ophthalmology.

Keen interest in strabismus led him to pursue a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus from the “Temple of Eye”, Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai.

During his tenure as a fellow, he had an opportunity to interact with post-graduates and help them in academic endeavors.

He has presented in various national and regional conferences and contributed textbook chapter.

He won the first prize in quiz national conference for ocular trauma.

The quest for professional excellence motivated him to clear FICO and FRCS Glasgow part 2 in one-go.

Apart from ophthalmology, he has keen interest in tennis, cricket and Formula-1. Video extraction and music are his pastimes.

He believes that learning is a never-ending process and teaching is the best way to learn!

Dr Bijita Deb, Consultant in Cornea, Cataract and Refractive services and Anterior Segment obtained her Bachelor’s (MBBS) degree and Master’s degree (MS) from the prestigious institute of JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research, Pondicherry).
She pursued her Fellowship in Cornea, Cataract, Refractive Services and Anterior Segment from The Eye Foundation, Coimbatore.
Cleared F.R.C.S. (Glasgow) Part 1 and DNB (additional degree post MS Ophthalmology) in first attempt.
She also has clinical experience as Senior resident and Consultant in her specialty.
Teaching has always been her passion whether it is theory lectures or bed side clinical case discussions.
She has experience of teaching under graduates of MBBS, post graduates of Ophthalmology and optometrist and BSc technicians both during her period as Senior Resident and as a Clinical Fellow and Consultant.
She has won multiple quiz competitions and won first prize for her thesis during her Post graduate days. She has also won gold medal Gold Medal (Prof. ET Selvam Endowment) for Quiz, TNOA 2016, Vellore.
She has also authored several peer reviewed publications and few textbook chapters and has presented papers, e-posters and clinical case discussions in National and State conferences and CMEs.
Other than Ophthalmology she also enjoys painting and music and has won few awards for the same. She has designed the cover for YOSI (Young Ophthalmologist Society of India) magazine, April 2019 issue (painting).
She strongly believes that the real joy of learning is found only through teaching.
